  • The boat comes with a considerable pedigree within the realm of production boats. These vessels are known to be quite capable in a broad range of conditions and, when properly rigged, can be used offshore with confidence. This particular vessel was given a complete refit in 2010-2012 which included careful examination of decks with professional repairs where found necessary, new fore hatch, port lights, chain plates, holding tank and head among others. Previously new sails were acquired and new engine installed fourteen years ago. It appears that every effort has been made toward a complete restoration. The owner has spared no pains and not a little money in accomplishing this. The work is generally to a high professional standard utilizing well-researched knowledge of the most recent techniques, all with the aim of seaworthiness and durability. • The Pretorien 35 is a French built cruiser-racer from the drawing board of the UK firm Holman & Pye that made its introduction in 1979 and has since been quietly attaining cult status. Wauquiez boats were sometimes called French Swans and they are great looking boats with a low-slung wedge deck that flows beautifully into her lines. The trademarks of this classic include huge stowage, capacious accommodations, and seaworthiness all wrapped up with a build quality that rivals that of some of the finest production boats in the world. All in all, the Pretorian 35 today is an excellent example of a go-anywhere cruiser offering excellent value for the money. This Pretorien is in very good condition and well equipped with many upgrades including a new engine in 2005, new Harken secondary self-tailing winches, mainsheet traveler, jib tracks and cars, and some new companionway electronic displays that are to be installed shortly. This boat is legendary and will take you as far as you would like to go with style, safety, and sea worthiness. • Performance daysailer, racer, and weekender. The e33 is hull #21 in this series, the ninth boat built by Lyman-Morse, and is sterling example of this class. A single owner boat with little use and yard maintenance. Queso is a delight to sail. Designed by Jeremy Wurmfeld and sailmaker Robbie Doyle, the e33 is fast and fun! Easy to use and maintain. Perfect no-hassle sailing, whether single-handing, hosting family and friends in the huge cockpit for a day sail, or trying to win your club’s Wednesday night race. Her quality Lyman-Morse build will assure years of reliability and safety.
  • 1973 SWAN 44’ Broker’s Comments: We last sold VIXEN in 1996, and she has had one owner since then. Her former owner was a NYYC commodore, and the boat had the desirable Kaufman keel and rudder modifications, which made the boats faster, and more manageable. Vixen has only been used in summer months and has been kept and maintained at Swan specialist Jamestown Boatyard. The teak deck was replaced in 2001, the engine has been rebuilt, and the hull, deck and mast Awlgripped. The Swan 44 is an Iconic S&S design, that still holds her own on the racecourse. The build quality is legendary, and these boats will probably still be sailing at the end of time!  The vessel is being offered on a 3 -year lease with a purchase option through Block Island Maritime Funding.  Survey available upon request.
