This is a classic Herreshoff 28

These are some repair and maintenance highlights from the year 2000 to the present 

2006: Install new keel bolts
Fabricate and install bronze frame splints
Stem, and stem bolt repair. Floor timber install (repair)
2008: general repairs to engine, including belts, filters, impeller, electrics
2009: Boat cover, by Starbuck Canvas Works
2011: Wire halyards replaced with line and Delrin sheaves
Keel bolts examined. One replaced. Garboard planking and frame repairs
2012-2013: Topsides and deck were completely repainted. Decks are non-skid.
2014: Repaired a fuel leak and installed fuel sender and gauge
Repaired top of mizzen and mainmast broken in a boat yard accident
(neighboring boat toppled over during storm causing the damage).
Professionally and beautifully repaired by East Passage Boatwrights
2015: Repair of cracks on seams at bootstripe. Repair seams in rudder and end
checking in cheeks; reefed out and filled with West System epoxy; cheek fasteners removed and replaced with machine bolts.
Pintle pins worn; old pins removed, new pins installed
Various electric and bilge pump upgrades
2016: Navigation lights installed
Dye penetrant test all main mast chainplates; remove and replace the main mast
starboard mid chainplate
Install new engine stop cable
Troubleshoot/repair bilge pump; replace bilge pump motor pulley
Install solar panel (battery charger); remove the old charger
2017: Begin wooding down all brightwork

Future Projects: Some frame ends in bilge are soft and should have new frame ends spliced in with proper scarfs and fasteners. Some floors need attention Some soft areas of lower diagonal planking in bilge area needs attention (This is an ideal time to work on the above as the boat is dry and the interior is all accessible.) Install composting head Fabricate and install new sole Build out the interior to your liking for cruising interior Add modern electronic navigation systems Glory is accessible for inspection.
