This Pearson 30 is an affordable, timeless, simple, and beautiful yacht.  The Pearson 30 has long been a favorite for people who want to cruise in style without a lot of maintenance.  She is bright, fast, simple, and very spacious.

Layout:

Forward is a V berth with room for two people over six feet.

Just aft of the V berth is the head.  There is a marine toilet that is plumbed to a 20 gallon bladder, as well a hand pumped sink.

The main salon is bright and spacious.  Recent blue cushions throughout the boat add to the clean, simple look and feel of this boat.   A table drops down to create dining service for up to six.

The port bench pulls out to create a double berth.  There is a pilot berth aft on the port side as well.

The galley is simple and functional.  It includes an Origo Alcohol two burner stove, a large cooler, and plenty of storage.

The cockpit is huge, with plenty of room for six. She has tiller steering.  The tiller is in great shape.  There are cushions for the cockpit.  They are older, but in very good shape.

All of her wood trim is in great shape, but could use a sanding and a nice finish.

Hull/Decks:

Her topsides look fantastic as do her decks.  She has very little crazing on deck.  Her hull to deck joint shows no signs of stress.

Sails & Rigging:

Sails:

Main:  it is an older sail, but in good shape.

Genoa: hank on, appears to be newer than main, and in very good shape

Jib: Hank on and also in very good shape.

Blue sail cover, also in very good shape.

Mast:  Her deck- stepped mast is in great shape.

Standing rigging: All standing rigging is in great working order.  Her chain plaits looks good, well bedded and show no sign of water leakage.

All winches are in great working order, and are well lubricated.

Running rigging: Her running rigging is in good to great shape- including halyards, sheets, blocks etc.

Stanchions:  All stanchions are solid, and well bedded

Engine:

She has a well maintained Atomic four engine.  The Atomic Four has a well deserved reputation for being a great, long lasting, reliable, and quiet engine.  We started, ran, and engaged the engine.  It started right up, ran beautifully, and went into gear perfectly.

Electrical/Electronics:

She has a very simple two battery system running all lights, electrics, etc. batteries are charged by the Engine alternator, and there is an isolator switch.

Equipment:

Standard Horizon VHF radio

Datamarine Depth sounder

Kenyon Speedo

Two Saturn compasses

A few extras:

Two Danforth anchors

Fire extinguishers

Life jackets

Throwable pfd

Extra lines and fenders

Winch handles

Swim ladder

Ensign and staff

Take her for a sail.  She is ready to go.  She has been cleaned throughout, and her exterior wood trim has been sanded and coated.  She is a sailaway boat!

How does the charter/sale arrangement work?

Most boats can be purchased for their current appraised value or chartered on a long term basis (minimum three years) with an option to purchase. The purchase price of chartered vessels is usually established at the beginning of the lease and reflects the anticipated market value of the boat three years hence. If a charterer elects to exercise the option and purchase the vessel at the end of the charter, all charter payments are credited against the agreed upon purchase price. There are no interest charges or financing fees, etc. The charterer may also choose not to exercise his or her purchase option, in which case the security deposit will be returned.  Charter payments will be kept as charter hire. Broker commissions are generally paid in full at the commencement of the charter. For more information, please contact us by email or call us at (401) 842-0752.
