This well taken care of Cruisers Elegante 28 sleeps six comfortably. She has been well loved, and casually cruised. Her donors made several trips with her to Block Island. They enjoyed her so much that they decided to get a bigger Cruisers. She is waiting for a new owner in Connecticut.
Similar boats are listed in the $20,000 range.
Layout:
Her aft deck is all open leaving lots of room to catch a few fish, or to set up some chairs for lounging. The cocpit is well designed for easy boat handling, as well as comfort for guests. Aft of the helm is a wraparound seat for those who want to keep the captain company. The area is accented nicely with wood trim that is in great shape.
Bellow you will find a well appointed galley to port. The galley includes a large refrigerator, an AC/alcohol stove, a large sink with hot and cold running water, a microwave and loads of storage.
Next to the galley is a table that will seat four comfortably. It drops to sleep two.
All the way forward is the very roomy forward berth. It feels like the kind of berth one would expect on a much larger boat. The double bed is set off to starboard, with large drawers beneath it. There is a large hanging locker to port.
All the way aft is yet another good sized berth with yet another double bed. Lockers at the head and foot of the bed provide plenty of stowage.
The whole interior feels spacious, and bright, with plenty of ports and hatches to keep air flowing. Standing room is over 6' 3" at the peak.
The head is also impressive, with a stand up shower, sink, goodly amounts of stowage, and a head that is plumbed to a holding tank.
Hull/Decks:
Her hull is in great shape. Her Gelcoat looks great with only a few minor scratches. Her bottom is in great shape as well. All running gear is in good shape as well: her struts are solid, as are her shafts, and props.
Engine Room:
The engine room is clean and well laid out. All systems are easily accessed for service. Her port engine was rebuilt in 06. Her starboard engine is original, running well, and had new risers in 02. Both engines have been well maintained.
All other systems appear to be clean, well maintained and in working order.
Electrical:
She has a twelve volt system that runs all electronics, Lights, etc. The system is charged by the engines.
The ac system runs the reefer, the stove, and the microwave. There is no generator.
Electronics:
Most electronics have been removed and installed on the new boat:
Guest battery charger
Sony cassette stereo with Jenson speakers
Saturn compass
Extra Equipment:
Danforth 35 anchor plus rhode
Life jackets
Screens for hatches.
Projects/Issues:
There are a few dings on the swim ladder. Please see photos. These dings are very easy to take care of.
The electronic windlass needs repair.
The shower sump is not attached.
The bottom cushion for the bench aft of the helm station needs to be replaced.
