We took this boat for a short sail in mid September on the way to Crockers, in Manchester MA to have a brand new head stay, and roller furler installed. Laterlast fall we sailed her to Miane in winds over 30 knots. She sailed very well, and was suprisingly fast for all of her comfort. The Yanmar engine ran beautifully, but we did not try any of the electronics. The running lights functioned well.
Since then she has been worked on, and her interior is comming along nicely. Hatches and portlights have been replaced or re-sealed, she has a new sole, as well as new panels.
Highlights include a Yanmar 30 Hp Diesel engine with approximately 100 hrs, and a brand new roller furler and head stay,
Layout:
- Her cockpit is huge with plenty of room for six people to cruise comfortably. All lines are lead aft to the cockpit to make for easy sailing. Self tailing primaries make for easy trimming.
- She has a wheel helm for easy extended cruising. Her dodger is in good shape and should keep the spray away for several seasons to come. There is a ton of space in her lockers.
- A trip to the foredeck is easy. She is a beamy boat and has lots of deck space to work or play on.
- Below forward is the v berth. The bunks connect to make a very large and comfortable berth. There is a large hanging locker to starboard, as well as stowage below the bunks.
- To port aft of the berth is the private head, with a manual marine toilet, sink, shower, and a good amount of stowage.
- Across from the head is a large hanging locker.
- The main salon has a drop down table with service for six. It is bright and warm feeling. Aft to the right is the galley with a sink, Hille Range stainless three burner LPG stove, and oven, plenty of work space, and stowage.
- To port is the navigation station, aft of that a good sized quarter berth.
Hull/Decks:
- Her hull and decks seem to be in good shape for the most part. There is a spot on the starboard quarter that has been hit. It should be fixed. There is also a crack all along the stern as well. (See photos)
